This month we have been learning all about clothes.
We have discussed the different clothes we wear depending on the weather. We have also compared the clothes we wear at different stages of our lives – a baby wears much smaller clothes than we do but our parent’s clothes are bigger still!!
In Art, we made clothes using paper. We created the back and front of an item of clothing and then glues the edges together. We left one edge open so we could stuff it with cotton wool. Once we’d stuffed it we sealed the final edge. We have some of our paper clothes on display so that everyone can see them.
We are reading a book called The Man Who Wore All His Clothes by Allan Ahlberg. It is very funny but we have decided that there are many disadvantages to wearing all your clothes at once! We’re also having great fun acting out some of the scenes from the book during Drama.
